Coronavirus Update- Doing Our Part for Community Health March 19, 2020

We hope this message finds you feeling healthy and well. We are certainly facing an unprecedented public health crisis across the world, in our nation and in our local communities with the Coronavirus, now being referred to as COVID-19.

DDRC’s leadership is working hard to make thoughtful and prudent decisions as rapidly evolving information is coming to us from various health authorities.  Due to the work and population we serve, there are many directives and recommendations given to us and many other decision points that we are working through to ensure the health and safety of all involved — those we serve, their families, our workforce and the community.

Please continue to check here on our website for information relating to our operations and response to COVID19.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your family and for your support as a volunteer, donor or member of the community. We appreciate your understanding during this challenging time.

Temporary Changes in DDRC operations:

Weiland and Walters Centers Day Programs and Therapeutic Recreation — These programs and services are temporarily closed through Friday, April 3, 2020. DDRC will provide a status update if we need to extend the closure beyond April 3.

Early Intervention, Targeted Case Management/Resource Coordination and Service Coordination
DDRC continues to deliver Early Intervention, Targeted Case Management/Resource Coordination and Service Coordination services, and these services are now being provided via telehealth, email or videoconferencing. Staff providing these services are working remotely.

Residential and Other DDRC Direct Services – DDRC’s residential services and employment supports are ongoing. Temporary modifications being implemented include limiting visitors and community interactions.

DDRC’s main office – Our office at 11177 W. 8th Ave, Lakewood will have restricted access for visitors and vendors. DDRC main reception will be taking calls at 303-233-3363 and screening essential vendor deliveries and prior appointments.
