Work Crews

AVS' Community Employment department provides services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities to help attain and maintain paid employment in integrated group settings. Supervised work crew sites are provided for individuals that benefit from close daily supervision and support.

  • Labor market analysis
  • Job related training and support
  • Daily supervision at work site
  • Assistance in arranging transportation
  • Transportation to and from work may be provided

Admission Criteria

  • Pre-admission, vocational, evaluation/assessment and criminal background check
  • Developmentally Disabled, age 18 or older
  • Able to work within community setting
  • Able to work without supervision up to one hour
  • Self-medicates and exhibits safe behavior
  • No barriers to earned income and is committed and motivated to work
  • Will follow work rules
