Rob DeHerrera CPA, CGMA
Rob has worked for DDRC since 1997 and currently has the pleasure of serving as the Executive Director. Before becoming Executive Director, Rob held the following positions at DDRC: Deputy Director/CFO, CFO and Director of Finance. Rob has comprehensive knowledge and experience with the Colorado service system for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and proven success influencing and negotiating legislation. He is a multi-faceted executive with expertise in leadership, Board of Director relations and financial stewardship and demonstrated talents in strategic planning, human resources, program development, public relations and speaking, and fundraising.
He is currently the Chair of the Alliance/Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood (OEC) Early Intervention (EI) Task Force, has served on numerous committees and workgroups and has been sought out as one of a select few to assist in matters that impact the IDD system on items including legislation, system redesign and budget negotiations.
Rob is the winner of Alliance's (an association of Community Center Boards and Program Approved Service Agencies) prestigious 2011 Jane Cavode Award for his outstanding work on behalf of those in the IDD field and the Alliance Special Recognition Award in 2009. In addition, Rob was the recipient of the TRIAD Early Childhood Council 2012 State Children's Champion Award.
Prior to DDRC, he was an Audit Supervisor with Grant Thornton LLP specializing in the non-profit sector. Robert is a graduate of Adams State University.
