Eric Koch
Eric Koch is a Colorado native from Steamboat Springs with 24 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at DDRC. He began his career in direct care within residential services, developing hands-on experience and a deep understanding of person-centered support. Over the years, Eric has built a reputation for his dedication, creativity, and ability to connect with the people he serves. His commitment and exemplary service were recognized with the Charlie Allinson Award, honoring his significant contributions to DDRC and the broader community.
Eric has also volunteered 14 years as a Special Olympics ski coach and 5 years coaching basketball and softball, creating inclusive opportunities for athletes of all abilities and inspiring confidence, teamwork, and skill development in his athletes.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his family and embracing Colorado’s outdoors. His favorite activities include skiing, basketball, mountain biking, and camping, reflecting his adventurous spirit, love of community, and dedication to living an active, balanced life.
