Independent Living

For adults with developmental disabilities who are ready to live with more independence, DDRC offers independent living. These apartments provide a balance of personal freedom and tailored assistance, allowing individuals to manage daily life while receiving the support they need. Residents live in their own apartments within the community, developing life skills, building connections, and growing in confidence.

Each apartment has a Lead Counselor who ensures the home runs smoothly and provides guidance as needed. A Program Manager, with extensive experience in independent living services for adults with disabilities, oversees the program to ensure residents receive the right level of support. This setup helps individuals gain confidence in their abilities while having access to trained professionals who can assist when necessary.

How to Get Started

Finding the right supported living services for adults with disabilities starts with understanding each person’s unique needs and goals. Our team works with individuals and families to assess readiness for independent living, identify the best apartment setting, and create a personalized support plan. Whether someone needs help with budgeting, transportation, or meal preparation, we’re here to provide guidance while respecting their independence.

Our process is simple: we start with a conversation to determine if our staffed apartments are the right fit. From there, we assist with paperwork, coordinate the transition, and provide ongoing support to help residents settle into their new home.
