Evergreen IDD Services & Support

Connecting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families to dedicated, localized resources throughout the Evergreen mountain community. As the designated Community Centered Board (CCB) for Jefferson County, DDRC ensures that foothills families have direct access to comprehensive, high-quality care without needing to travel down the canyon.
Serving Colorado’s Gateway to the Rockies
Living in the foothills presents unique environmental and transportation considerations. Our specialized services in Evergreen are structured to emphasize home-based support, virtual accessibility options, and local community integration, allowing participants to live self-directed lives right in their mountain neighborhoods.
Localized IDD Support Services in Evergreen

Early Intervention
We provide home and community-based developmental therapies for infants and toddlers from birth up to age three residing in Evergreen. Delivered directly in your child’s natural environment via a collaborative parent-coaching model, our teams work to minimize mountain travel constraints while supporting early milestones.

Day Programs & Community Access
While utilizing centralized programmatic hubs, our day services place an immense focus on community-based integration right within the Front Range foothills. We curate social, recreational, and vocational development activities designed to build local independence and lifelong peer connections.

Residential & Host Homes
We connect Evergreen Mountain residents with highly personalized living environments designed to foster comfort and choice. This includes coordinating matches with local families who become host home providers, facilitating independent apartment coaching, and helping relatives receive financial compensation through our state family caregiver program tracking.

Behavioral Health
Our behavioral health clinicians offer targeted, home-based, and remote therapeutic consulting across the Evergreen area. We design individualized positive behavior support frameworks to help individuals thrive seamlessly in their home environments, vocational settings, and neighborhood spaces.

Community Services & Recreation
From navigating adaptive state waivers to organizing accessible outdoor programming, our community connection services bridge the gap for mountain families. We ensure you stay informed on funding options, therapeutic initiatives, and seasonal accessibility calendars.
Adaptive Recreation & Foothills Activities
We help individuals connect with local, inclusive programs to stay active, build friendships, and experience the outdoors without leaving the foothills. Through our community support frameworks, local residents regularly participate in specialized regional activities, including:

Adaptive Outdoor Exploration
Accessing seasonal outdoor adventures like boating and exploring on Evergreen Lake.

Inclusive Sports & Fitness
Participating in local therapeutic sports leagues, including adaptive climbing wall sessions at the Buchanan Park Recreation Center rotunda, adaptive martial arts, and golf at the Evergreen Golf Course.
