The 26th Annual Legislative BBQ
Where meaningful conversations are on the menu and common ground is served
Join elected officials, candidates, and community members on Thursday,
September 10, 2026, for an evening of conversation, connection, and advocacy
on the issues that matter in our community. Now in its 26th year, the
Legislative BBQ brings neighbors and leaders together to build a stronger,
more inclusive Jefferson County. Your voice matters. Come share your
experience and your commitment to opportunities for people with intellectual
and developmental disabilities.

- Free to attend. Advance registration is needed to secure your spot.
Come early! Please plan to arrive by
4:30 p.m. for the meet-and-mingle portion of the evening — your chance to
connect with candidates and elected officials before dinner is served.
What to Expect
Enjoy great BBQ, good company, and real conversation about the issues affecting
people with disabilities, people living with mental health challenges, older
adults, and families. Mix, mingle, and connect with neighbors, elected
officials, and candidates over a shared meal.
Special Guest: Adam Burg
New this year: Adam Burg, a seasoned government affairs professional and
respected media commentator on Colorado politics and public policy, will give
a non-partisan overview of Colorado’s political landscape and the issues
shaping our state’s future.
