As we seek to provide cutting edge services that create opportunities for people with developmental disabilities, our dedicated Executive and Senior Management teams bring a vast and valuable collection of decades of non-profit, program, & business management experience to our efforts. From information technology to recreational services, and from supported living services to community relations, these individuals provide guidance and direction that is essential to our successful, meaningful, and sustained operations.

of non-profit, program & business management experience to DDRC.
Rob DeHerrera CPA, CGMA
Rob has worked for DDRC since 1997 and currently has the pleasure of serving as the Executive Director. Before becoming Executive Director, Rob held the following positions at DDRC: Deputy Director/CFO, CFO and Director of Finance. Rob has comprehensive knowledge and experience with the Colorado service system for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and proven success influencing and negotiating legislation. He is a multi-faceted executive with expertise in leadership, Board of Director relations and financial stewardship and demonstrated talents in strategic planning, human resources, program development, public relations and speaking, and fundraising.
He is currently the Chair of the Alliance/Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Early Childhood (OEC) Early Intervention (EI) Task Force, has served on numerous committees and workgroups and has been sought out as one of a select few to assist in matters that impact the IDD system on items including legislation, system redesign and budget negotiations.
Rob is the winner of Alliance's (an association of Community Center Boards and Program Approved Service Agencies) prestigious 2011 Jane Cavode Award for his outstanding work on behalf of those in the IDD field and the Alliance Special Recognition Award in 2009. In addition, Rob was the recipient of the TRIAD Early Childhood Council 2012 State Children's Champion Award.
Prior to DDRC, he was an Audit Supervisor with Grant Thornton LLP specializing in the non-profit sector. Robert is a graduate of Adams State University.
Jamie Luark, MBA
Jamie joined DDRC in August of 2024 as the Chief Financial Officer after 15 years in various Finance and IT roles for local nonprofit behavioral health organizations. She brings key experience in aligning administrative (back office) and program (front office) staff and functions to best serve individuals and families in services. Jamie previously worked as the Director of Finance and Administration for a clinically integrated network strategically pursuing the quadruple aim. Jamie currently provides leadership for the Facilities, Finance, and Information Technology departments at DDRC.
Jamie is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and is trained in Mental Health First Aid. She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Spanish and later, her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management, both from Creighton University. She is a lifelong learner, enjoys road trips with her family, and hopes she inherited her grandma’s green thumb.
Jane Byron, SPHR
Jane has served as the Director of Human Resources for DDRC since 1999. She has dedicated her career to supporting persons with Developmental Disabilities since 1984 when she worked in a residential program in Michigan. Jane has worked with DDRC since 1986 and served in several positions prior to becoming HR Director including Residential Counselor, House Manager, Program Manager and Human Resources Manager.
She is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), and the Colorado Human Resources Association (CHRA). Jane has been certified by the National Human Resources Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2001. She earned the Advanced Certificate in Employment Law from the Institute for Applied Management and Law in 2009 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
Jamie Haney, MSW
Jamie currently serves as DDRC's Senior Director of Access, providing executive leadership for Early Intervention, Behavioral Health Services, Therapeutic Recreation, as well as Development and Community Relations.
Jamie brings over 20 years of experience spanning both Human Resources and Social Work, with a strong commitment to person-centered, collaborative, and inclusive practices. She has served on both state and local committees dedicated to advancing team-based care and case management services that prioritize individual needs.
Before joining DDRC, Jamie led the development, implementation, and oversight of case management services in community health centers and long-term care settings. For the past 15 years, her Social Work career has focused on designing and implementing programs that reflect best practices in person-centered care.
Jamie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of New England and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. Passionate about making a meaningful impact, she is dedicated to leading initiatives that align with DDRC’s mission and to fostering a culture of inclusive, person-focused service throughout her division.
Lindsay Menough, MA
Lindsay has been working in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 20 years. Her journey began at a group home in Massachusetts, where she met a woman with Down syndrome who had a profound impact on her life. After completing her undergraduate degree at Mesa State College, Lindsay moved to Denver, where she started leading a residential program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. During this time, she met another woman with Down syndrome, who also left a significant mark on her life. During an emergency, this woman stayed with Lindsay for a night, and 17 years later, they are still together living as a host home family. Recognizing her commitment to this field, Lindsay decided to pursue a lifelong career in it. She expanded her knowledge and experience by leading various programs, including residential, day programs, employment initiatives, and community-based support services. Before joining DDRC, Lindsay spent ten years as the Director of Children and Family Services at another organization, followed by a position as President of a multistate provider organization based in Colorado. Lindsay also holds a master's degree in clinical mental health. Lindsay has been an active member of the Alliance and particularly enjoys the government and policy work that the association undertakes. She is currently on the GRACE committee and has experience writing legislation aimed at improving services. Additionally, she has collaborated with legislators to pass laws that enhance the lives of Coloradans. In her free time, Lindsay enjoys teaching and practicing hot yoga, spending time in her native New England, traveling, and creating new and exciting memories with her family and their two dogs.
Annette Rogers, MA
Annette Rogers, a native Coloradoan, joined DDRC in 2014 as the Executive Assistant. She supports the Executive Director as well as the 17-member Board of Directors. Prior to joining DDRC, Annette's career has been dedicated to nonprofits. She has worked for a number of professional associations, including the North American Nature Photography Association, the American Association of Medical Audit Specialists and the American Society for Indexing. Other nonprofits she worked for include the Estes Park Institute (a healthcare education organization) and South Dakota Public Broadcasting. She comes to DDRC with a Master of Arts degree in mass communication with a focus on nonprofit marketing. Working at DDRC has a special place in Annette's heart as her daughter received Early Intervention services when she was having trouble learning to walk and with other motor planning issues. Annette lives in Roxborough with her family, including husband Dave and daughters Anna and Kate.

Gena Colbert, CPA, CGMA
Gena has been with DDRC since 2004 and is currently DDRC's Director of Finance. As the Director of Finance she acts as the financial steward for DDRC and is responsible for the aspects of planning, implementation, and managing of financial activities, including budgeting, financial oversight, cash flow, audits and financial reporting.
Gena has dedicated her career to accounting and for the past 15 years has enjoyed working for an agency that shares her same values of individual dignity with inclusive services.
Gena is an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Managerial Accountant. She is a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Gena graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Business-Major in Accounting.
Prior to joining DDRC's team, Gena worked as a CPA for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, a Controller for a private telecommunications company, and an Accountant with the City of Thornton.
On a personal note, Gena enjoys traveling with her family, gardening, and playing sports. Gena has been a volunteer partner with DDRC's unified softball and volleyball teams since 2013. In the summer of 2014, she proudly represented DDRC's unified softball team in the National Special Olympics tournament and helped to bring home the gold medal for their division

Terri Hulstrom, CTRS
Terri was hired by DDRC in 1981 as a Recreation Specialist. In 2010 Terri became the Recreation Manager, after the retirement of Howard Murray. Terri has a degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Minors in psychology and counseling. She also holds Certification through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Society. Additional certifications and trainings include Basic Water Safety Instructor, Colorado Pool Operator, CPR/First Aid instructor, Investigator, and fluent in American Sign Language. Terri developed and implemented a basic sign language class for DDRC in the early 90's.
Prior to becoming part of the DDRC family, Terri worked for The City of Lakewood Parks and Recreation (Special Populations Program), Wheat Ridge Regional Center (Recreation Department), North Jeffco Parks and Recreation (Outdoor sports) and R-1 School District (Summer Camps for special needs children).
Throughout her career she has received a variety of awards and recognition. Inducted into the Colorado Special Olympics Hall of Fames as Coach of the Year, Two Dynamo awards from DDRC, The Charlie Alison Award, Outstanding accomplishment award through City of Lakewood, Youth Group Volunteer of the year award from the Wheat Ridge Regional center which also included a 2 year scholarship. At the age of 12 Terri became a volunteer at the Wheat ridge Regional Center which introduced her to the field of Therapeutic Recreation and serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the years Terri has made volunteering an important part of her life and presently is a volunteer at Long Hopes Donkey Shelter in Bennett CO., where they rehabilitate abused and neglected donkeys and find them new and safe homes.
Steve Jimenez, MA, FMP, ALA
Steve is DDRC's Facilities and Operations Director. He is responsible for overseeing and managing our facilities, transportation services, and various other aspects of the day-to-day operations and compliance responsibilities of DDRC. Steve has over 20 years of experiencing working with persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities where he began his career providing direct support services. Steve has experience supervising direct care services, administrative supports, medical and behavioral health supports, and over a decade of experience managing business operations, transportation services, and facilities management.
Steve is an active member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and is certified as a Facility Management Professional (FMP) and Assisted Living Administrator (ALA). Steve is also active in various transportation organizations and has partnered with other agencies including the Denver Regional Mobility and Access Council (DRMAC), Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), and transportation local coordinating councils (LCC).
Micki Klawes, MPT
Micki has been the Director of Early Intervention for DDRC since August 2019. She started at DDRC in 2010 as a physical therapist on the Early Intervention Team and transitioned into the role of Assistant Director for that program in 2013, before being promoted to her current position. Micki has been practicing as an Early Intervention provider for more than 20 years, and is truly passionate about working alongside children in this age range, and their families. She also recognizes the incredible value of ensuring the focus for those who work closely with children and families is not only on the ongoing growth & development of their skills for providing this support, but also emphasizes recognizing, preventing and healing secondary trauma that may occur as a professional working in that field.
Prior to working at DDRC, Micki lived in Wisconsin where she spent the majority of her career as an Early Intervention physical therapist, with a few years working at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin mixed in there. Micki graduated summa cum laude with her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Marquette University. In her free time, you'll find her enjoying time with her family and baking cakes & cupcakes for her bakery.
Ashley Lee
Ashley Lee joined Developmental Disabilities Resource Center(DDRC) team in March 2022. As the Development Director, she leads DDRC philanthropic relationships and development team to drive the organization's revenue growth. She brings more than 12 years of nonprofit fundraising and partnership-building experience/education to the team.
Ashley holds a Master of Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, an undergraduate degree from the University of Montana, and a nonprofit management certificate from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

Michele Majeune, MPA
Michele joined DDRC in 2018 as the Director of Community Relations, bringing 20 years of experience in community relations, communications and cause-marketing while working with government, businesses and nonprofits.
Before coming to DDRC, Michele led public relations for projects that improved community infrastructure, the environment and quality of life, working with CH2M, a project management and engineering firm. She co-led a CH2M corporate community engagement program that encouraged children-of-color and girls to pursue STEM careers. She also worked with B:CIVIC, a nonprofit focused on business social responsibility and with the Regional Air Quality Council.
Michele has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Colorado (UCCS), an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, and a Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the CU Leeds School of Business /CESR. She resides in Jefferson County.
Jeanne Terrell
Jeanne began her career working in the field of developmental disabilities in 1986 with Jefferson County schools transporting children with special needs. She came to work at DDRC in 1991 and during her tenure at DDRC has worked as a residential counselor in the Quality Living Options, the nursing assistant, Program Manager, Team Leader and Assistant Director prior to becoming the Director for Group Settings in 2013. She also worked with the Jefferson County Sheriff Department Victim Services as an advocate. Her education is in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Victim Advocacy. She has completed much additional training which includes Victim Advocacy Training with the Colorado State Patrol and Citizen Academy with Jefferson County Sheriff Department. She has taken advantage of the many educational opportunities offered at DDRC and has developed a special knack for working with individual with behavioral problems. Most recently she was trained in person centered thinking. Jeanne is native of Colorado and enjoys working with people, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Kerrianne Rigney
Kerrianne Rigney serves as the Director of Day Program Services at DDRC, bringing over 15 years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has been a dedicated member of the DDRC team for the past 9 years, where she leads with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
She holds a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, which laid the foundation for her career focused on enhancing quality of life and fostering inclusive communities. A proud Colorado native, Kerrianne grew up in the scenic Winter Park area. Outside of work, she is a devoted mom of two and enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
